In 1966 Martin guitars ( yes THE Martin Guitar CO of Nazareth PA) decided to get into arch top hollow body guitars, in 1968 they got right back out again! This one is a bit like a Gretsch Nahville except this beauty hs De Armond pickups, these have a certain mystique and sound all thier own, the original Guild Duane Eddy and Gretsch 6120 guitars both had thse units fitted for example.Ticks a lot of boxes this one - rare, has bigsby arm, has twin De Armond pick ups - Gretsch and Guild and other US makers had ceased to use DeArmonds by about now. it also has a bit of history in that it was owned and used by Liverpool band Echo and the Bunnymen. Restored to playing order by us and Craig O'Donnell (thanks Craig ) whose guitars we hope to have in store later this year incidently. It is a great guitar that is all American vintage hollowbody and not a Gretsch, come and try, guitar will not dissapoint. We are verifying Echo & Bunnymen provenance if this interests you.
